Let's Go Fly a Kite!

SJ and I enjoyed an afternoon of kite flying on Mother's Day. We went to Millenium Park in West Roxbury. It used to be a landfill and several years ago the city of Boston filled in, planted grass and put in a great playground, lots of soccer fields and biking and walking paths. The best part about this park is that it's great for kites. Because it's so high up there is always a great wind. It actually makes kite flying a little boring. You really just have to hold it. There's no chasing wind to keep the kite up.

First Son has had a kite for a couple of years now that we've never taken out. We really should do that sometime this summer. (Really, Kansas Dad will have to oversee the efforts. I don't feel up to running with a kite right now.)
