Rothenburg - Day 5

Now, back to our recent vacation :
On our first day in Rothenburg, we went to the Toy Museum, which had 3 floors of antique dolls and toys.

Some of the toys were really amazing, and SJ really enjoyed a few of the motorized merry-go-rounds.

After that, we visited the German Christmas Museum, which is attached to the Käthe Wohlfahrt Christmas Shop.

One of the things that is interesting about Rothenburg, is the abundance of Asian tourists. So, as you walk around the Christmas Shop you see signs in German, English, and Japanese.

Our hotel ended up being one of the nicest things about our stay in Rothenburg. Not only was it right in the center of everything, but it was the most SJ friendly hotel we've ever stayed in. The owners of the hotel had two young kids, so they had lots of toys around that SJ could play with.

In addition, the hotel had a pretty good restaurant with really inexpensive kid's meals. However, the best part was that they had baskets full of toys in the restaurant, so SJ could play with cars and trucks all during dinner while the rest of us ate. It worked out so well that we ate there every single night we were in Rothenburg.
