Our Dancing Queen

S had her long awaited recital today. She was super excited from the time she woke up at 5:45 am. We tried to get her to "rest" later, but to no avail. She was so thrilled with getting to wear make up, a ballet bun in her hair, and finally get to wear her purple tutu.

She did great at her recital, dancing to It's a Small World. She even had a part in the finale where she got to jump and spin. After her show she was even more excited to get flowers from her family and then run around outside the theater in her ballet shoes.

When we got home we had a pizza party with a ballerina themed cake. She was the star of the show for all of us and we're all very proud!

Welcome Home Baby J

Today Baby J and I came home from the hospital. We were greated with blue balloons from Big Sister S and Nathan. It was a beautiful day and we are glad to be starting our family of 4 now!

Yes, baby J really is in the car seat there!

Here's baby J in his going home outfit.

Born to be held

Baby J meets his grandparents for the first time on May 22nd!!

Things, they are a changin'

On 5/21, at 9:13, S welcomed her little brother Jayden into the world. Well, technically, S was sound asleep and didn't meet J until the following day. But, we welcomed him into the world on her behalf. J will be at the hospital until tomorrow morning, but S has very much enjoyed visiting him in the hospital and is super excited about being a big sister.
As for us, we're pretty tired. Thankfully, we don't really need to change the title of the blog. One less thing on the "to do" list :-)

Ballet madness!

SJ is so excited about her upcoming ballet recital. She invites everyone she knows and even random people she doesn't know. She got her costume last week and loves to show it to anyone who appears mildly interested. She even went so far as to give a ballet lesson to her friends, E & I, who were so gracious to participate. We had to draw the line though when she was trying to teach them how to lift her up in the air while she was doing an arabesque!
