Lobstahh

S has developed a love of lobster. When we first discovered this she was begging her Daddy to share his with her. Well, yesterday we had a lobster lunch to celebrate Gami's and Aunt Emily's birthdays and S got her own lobster. She was so excited. Nathan still had to prepare it for her, but she enjoyed every last bite :) (Me....well I don't do lobster. Can't get beyond the beady little eyes and those long antennae... It was so nice of Gami to make me brats instead!)

Proud Grandparents

After some time at Lake Winnipesauke S and J's Grandma and Grandpa came to Arlington for a few days. As usual we had a great time together. S is always appreciative of how they help her by cleaning up after her and playing with her. Nathan and I are always grateful for my Mom's cooking and in general for how much time they play with and take care of our kids!

Jayden's Baptism

Today Jayden was baptized at our church. We are grateful to have our families present for the service!

Then the title of the sermon today was called "Children's Church" and the Family Minister asked for kids to help with the sermon. S was one of the first kids to raise her hand to volunteer. She lasted about 3/4 of the sermon sitting up there trying to be quiet before she came back to our pew. It sure was stressful for me to have her up there! I'm not sure I was able to listen as well to the sermon since I was worried she'd fall of the stage or just do something else crazy!

Lake Winnipesauke 2009

For the third year in a row now we have spent a week in Alton Bay, NH along Lake Winnipesauke with our families. It was a stellar week as far as the weather went and we had a lot of fun time at the beach, exploring the area, shopping, tie-dying, and taking a big boat ride. Here are some highlights:

S and Nathan on the Go-Karts!

J contemplating something at the beach ....

J has now been swimming in a pool, ocean and a lake! This day we went exploring and went to a State Park in NH along Newfound Lake. It was a beautiful lake with a great sandy beach and the water was quite warm!

As usual S *loved* being in the water. This year she has started swimming short distances (like 10 feet) all on her own and she is so proud. She's also getting more confident with jumping in. She liked to jump in off the dock, but it did take her about 10 minutes and a zillion "Count to 3's" until she actually took the plunge!

J with his Grandpa. They are modeling their tie-dye's from the NC beach vacation earlier this summer.

Working on this vacation's tie-dyes with Grandpa and Grandma.

S and Gami out for a kayak ride in Gami's new stylish pink kayak!

Playing in the water with Aunt Emily!

Enjoying Family Day on the Mount Washington boat on Lake Winnipesauke. They had face painting and a clown to entertain the kids with music and games!

Wearing our new tie-dye shirts on our way home from vacation! (p.s. It's amazing how many comments one gets when one wears a tie-die shirt with a group of people!)

Cute pictures

Here's some cute pictures to tide you over until we get back from our vacation next week:

S and J are proud of their new Red Sox hats. Maybe it will help the Sox play better from here on out! S is known to bring the Sox good luck, you know?!

S: The New Green Monster

J: The Cutest Little Red Sox Fan (p.s. his left hand is not deformed. It's just in motion!)

Sydney, MD

"Whatcha doing, Sydney?"

"I'm doctoring Jayden."

It really is amazing what Jayden puts up with being the little brother!
